This blog usually covers topics such as how to brew coffee, how to clean coffee makers, and where to buy cheap coffee beans. Now I think it's time to talk about what you pour your coffee in before you drink it.  Believe it or not, there are golden rules to coffee mugs.  One simple little tea cup is not going to do the job for a serious coffee drinker.

Coffee is For Closers Only!

Coffee is for closers only.  In the Glengarry speech, what did that line mean when it was spout off by Alec Baldwin to the late Jack Lemmon in the cult classic film Glengarry Glen Ross?  Which is by far one of the best Alec Baldwin movies ever.  Alec's character was sent from the downtown office to shape up the sales staff in an investment real estate brokerage house.  Sales were poor and Alec was sent in with a classic motivational speech.  It's funny when your not on the receiving end of this pummelling. During the sales meeting Jack Lemmon's character gets up to poor himself a cup of coffee.  Alec shouts "put that coffee down, coffee is for closers only." Read the rest of this entry »
