How To Properly Clean Coffee Maker with Vinegar
Clean a coffee maker with vinegar may be the same old method heard around the world, but here is a condensed post for the top 10 google searches on how to clean a coffee maker with vinegar and the top searched Youtube video.

Equipment needed:
1. Drip Coffee Maker
2. White Vinegar
3. Ice Cubes
4. Salt
5. Dish Washer Detergent
6. A Dish Brush
7. Baking Soda
Optional equipment:
Alka-Seltzer Tablets
Denture Tablets
A Fresh Lemon
STEP 1: Take equal parts of vinegar and water and run a cycle through your coffee maker.
Run 2 cycles of water through afterward to remove the vinegar smell and taste.
Alka Seltzer, denture tabs, baking soda, or juice from a lemon can be substituted here.
STEP 2: To Clean the carafe put ice cubes and salt into it and
STEP3: Swish it vigorously for a minute or two.
STEP4: Then rinse thoroughly.
For a Stainless Steel carafe- pour in boiling water and add powdered dish detergent and let it sit over night. Then clean with a dish brush and rinse.
STEP5: Remove the vinegar smell in the carafe by filling with warm water and 1tsp. of baking soda. Let it sit for a few minutes and rinse well.
Depending on how well you like your coffee maker cleaned, some view that it changes the taste of the brew if cleaned too often, some say that the best cup is brewed through a thoroughly cleaned maker. That point is up for debate and open for comments. So what do you think?
