Coffee Site Review: Coffeereview.com

What is the site about?

Coffeereview.com is a comprehensive web resource for reading cupping reviews of varieties of coffees.  Comprehensive isn't a big enough word to describe this site.  It has everything you ever wanted to know about coffee including the coffee roast types, coffee roasting process, and even includes their proprietary 100 point scale cupping review process for each coffee bean tasted.

This is one of those sites when you start reading you immediately feel the passion these people have about tasting, roasting and brewing coffees of all kinds and varieties.  The knowledge that the sites' founder Ken Davids has about coffee is also without question is above master level. How many fingers touch your cup of coffee before you drink it?

I recently read a post about a group of Law students from Gonzaga who help less fortunate families each year.  Recently they were in Honduras assisting and came across a coffee bean farmer and tells quite a story about how the farmers are paid extra for not using child labor or pesticides in thier orchards.

This got me to think about how many people touch the beans from the tree until it is brewed in my cup of morning coffee.  And what it takes to produce coffee beans for sale to our markets in the US.  There is even a whole other set of standards to produce 100% pure organic coffee beans.

Here is an account of their visit if you would like to read more:  Mission Possible
